TYKE SPENCER   - Receivers Coach

 

 One of the most prolific and record setting wide receivers to ever play for the Indiana University and the North Central College Cardinals.  Now a professional businessman in the Naperville, IL area, Tyke spends his free time working with young football players through the Blue Chip Quarterback Farm and the Blue Chips for Life, Inc.

 

2005 Season

  • Lindy's National College Football Preseason All-Division III First Team Offense;
  • CCIW Player of the Week (10/17/05);
  • Led the conference in scoring, scoring TD's, receiving yards/game & receptions per game;
  • Unanimous All-Conference First Team Selection
  • Football Gazette All-America Second Team Offense;
  • D3football.com All-America Third Team Offense;
  • Finished the season with 59 catches for 1137 yards (19.3 yards average per catch, 113.7 yards average per game) for 15 touchdowns;
  • Broke his own single season record for TDs while also becoming the leader in career receptions (140), receiving yards gained (2,443) and TDs caught (28);
  • Led team in all receiving and scoring categories.
  • Ranked 4th in NCAA Div. III in receiving yards/game and tied for 6th in scoring per game.

2004 Season

  • Football Gazette All America Second Team Offense;
  • Unanimous All-Conference First Team Selection;
  • Football Gazette National Player of the Week (9/25/04) for 14 catch, 288 yard, 3 TD performance;
  • Conference Player of the Week for same game;
  • Ranked 2nd in country for receiving yards/game and 4th in receptions/game.

2002 & 2003 Seasons

  • Spencer saw action at Indiana University with 24 receptions, 312 yards and 2 touchdowns.

High School

  • A two-year starter at Naperville Central High School in Naperville, Illinois, Spencer earned a full athletic scholarship to Indiana University;
  • Helped lead team to runner-up position in the 2001 Illinois State Championships;
  • Named All-Conference Receiver, All-Area Receiver;
  • Member of Chicago Tribune All-State 2nd Team
